The Pepinero reserve team earned a point thanks to hard work and a stoic effort from the squad, which was reduced to 10 men in the 39th minute of the first half following Jorge Martínez’s ejection.
Rassoul Camara put the team ahead in the 31st minute with a great header off a cross from Noé Pérez, who now has four assists in the first five league matches. Down a man, the reserve team held on to their lead until halftime at El Soto.
After the break, on the very first play of the second half, the referee awarded a penalty kick to C.D. Móstoles and issued a second red card to the blue-and-white reserve team after Álex Fita received his second yellow card. From the penalty spot, the home team made no mistake and tied the score at 1-1.
Meanwhile, the team coached by Abraham García found itself facing the second half with just nine players. A strong defensive performance and a solid Nico Lozano in goal earned Leganés B a point; the team finished the match with eight players after Diego Pérez was sent off in the final minutes.
The next league match will be at I.D. Butarque on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. against C.D. Galapagar.
