C.D. Leganés reached an agreement with the 29-year-old defender Álvaro Tejero Sacristán for his incorporation into the pepinero club for the next two seasons. The Madrid full-back, who possesses extensive experience in our football, arrives from the Greek side Aris Thessaloniki.
Formed in the youth categories of Real Madrid, Tejero progressed through the ranks until reaching Castilla in 2015 and debuting that same year with the first team in a Copa del Rey match in Cádiz. In the following season, his debut in LALIGA EA SPORTS would arrive, closing his stage as a madridista in 2018 after five appearances with the first team.
Proven Experience and quality in the first and second divisions
After being loaned to Albacete Balompié in the 2018/19 season, where he put in a great performance and contested the promotion playoff to Primera División, in 2019 he signed for S.D. Eibar to play in the top tier. He competed for four seasons with the armeros, with a loan to Real Zaragoza in 2020 in between.
His outstanding performances at Ipurua led him back to LALIGA EA SPORTS in 2024 by the hand of R.C.D. Espanyol, with whom he played 29 matches in the 2024/25 campaign. In this past season, he played in the ranks of Aris Thessaloniki, totaling nearly 3,000 minutes of play across 37 official matches.
Now, Tejero returns to LALIGA to start a new stage as a pepinero, signing for the next two seasons. His presentation will take place this Friday starting at 13:30 hours at the Ontime Butarque Stadium.
