The international investment group specialized in sport and technology, 885 Capital, formalized this Monday, June 1, the acquisition of 84.24% of the social capital of C.D. Leganés, until now property of Blue Crow Sports Group. Added to the 14.86% that it already possessed previously, 885 Capital passes to control 99.1% of the shares of the club, consolidating itself, this way, as majority shareholder of the entity.
The entrance of 885 Capital at the front of C.D. Leganés responds to a firm bet for the growth and consolidation of the club. The new shareholding will center its efforts on reinforcing the sporting performance of the entity, deepening the link with the pepinero members and fans, continuing to impulse the improvement of the infrastructures, and preserving the identity, history, and values of a club that approaches its centenary.

Likewise, 885 Capital has designated as new president of C.D. Leganés Eduardo Cosín, who until the date performed the functions of executive vice president of the entity. Madrilenian, graduated with honors in Law and Administration and Management of Businesses and with an ample trajectory in direction and management of business and sporting projects, Eduardo Cosín incorporated to the club in October 2022, acquiring since then a deep knowledge of all the operational areas of C.D. Leganés. His experience and deep roots within the club and the city of Leganés will allow to face this new stage with stability, agility, and strategic vision.

Likewise, the club wants to thank the work realized by Jeff Luhnow during his stage as president of C.D. Leganés.
The next Tuesday, June 2 at 13:30 hours, a press conference will be carried out in the Ontime Butarque Stadium by the new president of C.D. Leganés, Eduardo Cosín. In it will be detailed the new roadmap of the club, the main objectives and institutional vision that will mark this new and exciting stage for the club.
