The Cup begins in Azuaga

C.D. Leganés visits C.D. Azuaga on Wednesday (8:00 p.m.) at the Estadio Municipal de Azuaga, in a match corresponding to the first round of the 2025/26 Copa de S.M. El Rey. The Pepineros will be looking to advance to the next round and overcome their first hurdle.

After reaching the quarterfinals of the tournament last season, Leganés begins its journey in this year's edition of the tournament ready to once again perform well in the competition. Ahead of this first match in Extremadura, Paco López will not be able to count on the injured Pulido and Franquesa.

For their part, Azuaga face the match in front of their fans with the hope of beating a higher-ranked team at their stadium. The Extremaduran team, who are fourth in Group 14 of the Third Division, come into the match after beating Calamonte (1-0) in the last round.

The match will be refereed by Mr. Dámaso Arcediano from Castilla-La Mancha.
